  • High Fructose Gel provides 55g of carbohydrate and 250mg of sodium per gel, which come from maltodextrin and fructose, in a 10:8 ratio. This formulation, based on “multi-transportable carbohydrates”, has been shown by studies to show that during prolonged exercise, the use of carbohydrates that are absorbed in the intestine by different transporters is the only way to increase the rate of assimilation and oxidation of exogenous carbohydrates above 60g/hour*. To achieve this, research confirms that the ideal is to combine carbohydrate sources. We have opted for Maltodextrin, to control molecular weight/osmolarity, and the other has to be Fructose.
  • MALTODEXTRIN : It is absorbed in the intestine by the SLGT-1 transporter and is converted into glucose to travel to the cells and provide them with energy quickly. It has a high glycemic index, rapid increase in blood glucose, and instant energy release. Rapid gastric emptying due to its high molecular weight and low osmolarity, promoting digestion and reducing gastrointestinal side effects.
  • FRUCTOSE: It is absorbed in the intestine using GLUT5 transporters, different from those that absorb other carbohydrates. The absorbed fructose is directed from the intestine to the liver by GLUT2 transporters and refills the hepatic glycogen deposits that are lost during intense physical exercise. Gradual absorption occurs with a constant and progressive release of energy.
