MUMMY: Cleverly conceived and perfectly executed, this immersive design required excellent spatial imagination to begin with and a lot of work in the paint shop to achieve the fantastic final result. Applying 2D designs to a 3D surface is a precarious business. We were able to save a lot of time and money by modeling it in some fancy software, but we'd rather grab some markers and get our hands dirty. The resulting stencil cut must fit absolutely perfectly and each line must be as sharp as a knife edge for perfectly smooth transitions between patterns. Glorious! As befits a pharaoh...

Dots'N'Stripes: This renowned and artistic scheme uses geometric shapes and adds various patterns such as dots, lines and bars in various colors including silver and gold. It requires enormous skill from the painter and consumes a lot of resources and time. But the result is definitely worth it.

FLOYD: What is it that makes diamonds sparkle? In optics, an important and familiar consequence of dispersion is the change in the angle of refraction of different colors of light, as seen in the spectrum produced by a dispersive prism and in the chromatic aberration of lenses.
